3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

4. FIRST AID

GENERAL

In all cases of doubt, or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention. Get advice via telephone; before the patient is transported to a doctor or hospital. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

INHALATION

Remove to fresh air, keep the patient warm and at rest. If breathing has stopped, administer artificial respiration. If unconscious place in the recovery position. Seek medical advice.

SKIN CONTACT

Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water or use an appropriate skin cleaner. Flush the skin with plenty of water in at least 30 minutes.

EYE CONTACT

Remove any contact lenses. Hold the eyelids apart. Rinse with water for at least 20 minutes. Seek medical advice.

INGESTION

DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Rinse the mouth with large amounts of water if the patient is conscious. Keep at rest. Seek medical advice.

MEDICAL INFORMATION

Obtain medical surveilliance concerning burn injuries in mouth and throat. The patient should be transported in recovery position. A medical person should acompany the patient under the transport. Stomach-rinsing may be considered, for instance with an antioxydant. Eye injuries should be treated with an antiseptic eye treatment. Eye specialist should be consulted as soon as possible.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

PROPER FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT

Recommended: alcohol resistant foam, CO2, powders, water spray. Not to be used: water jet.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS

The product is not combustible.

PERSONAL PROTECTION WHEN FIREFIGHTING

Professional fire-fighters are required to use an air-fed system when dealing with major fires. The personal protective equipment required is provided in section 8.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

OTHER INFORMATION

If the product enters drains or sewers, the local water company should be contacted immediately; in the case of contamination of streams, rivers or lakes, the Environmental Agency. Do not allow to enter drains or watercourses. Place in container for disposal according to local regulations (see section 13). sand, earth, vermiculite and diatomaceous earth. g. Observe precautions on container label. Keep out of frost. Keep away from acid.

EXPOSURE CONTROL

Spray mist contains contains all substances of the product and must never be inhaled. Provide adequate ventilation.

RESP. PROTECTION

Air-fed respiratory protective should be worn when spraying this product.

EYE PROTECTION

Eye protection designed to protect against liquid splashes should be worn.

HAND PROTECTION

Barrier creams should not be applied once exposure has occurred. Barrier creams may help to protect exposed areas of the skin but are not substitutes for full physical protection. Use nitrile or PVA gloves.

SKIN PROTECTION

When spraying use suit covering the whole body. Wear anti-static clothing made of natural fibre or of heat-resistant synthetic fibre.

The solution is very alkaline and reacts with strong acids while generating heat.

In a fire , hazardous decomposition products such as smoke, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and oxides of nitrogen may be produced.
