An authorised person should acompany under the transport. Stomach-rinsing may bee considered, for instance with an antioxydant. Eye injuries should be treated with chloramphenicol or antiseptic eye treatment. Local anesthetica may be given to relieve pain. Eye specialist should be consulted as soon as possible.
5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

PROPER FIREFIGHTING EQUIPMENT

Recommended: alcohol resistant foam, CO2, powders, water spray. Not to be used: water jet.

FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS

Decomposition products may be a hazard to health. Fire will produce dense black smoke containing hazardous products of combustion (see Section 10).

PERSONAL PROTECTION WHEN FIREFIGHTING

The personal protective equipment required is provided in section 8. Professional fire-fighters are required to use an air-fed system when dealing with major fires.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

OTHER INFORMATION

If the product enters drains or sewers, the local water company should be contacted immediately; in the case of contamination of streams, rivers or lakes, the Environmental Agency. Clean preferably with a detergent; avoid use of solvents. Do not allow to enter drains or watercourses. Contain and collect spillage with non-combustible absorbent materials, e.g. sand, earth, vermiculite and diatomaceous earth. Place in container for disposal according to local regulations (see section 13). Refer to protective measures listed in sections 7 and 8. Avoid breathing vapours. Exclude sources of ignition and ventilate the area.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

HANDLING ADVICE

The product should not be used in vicinity of open flames or other sources of ignition. Use explosion-proof electrical equipment. The product may charge electrostatically. Allways use earth (ground) wire when transferring from one container to another. Personnel should wear anti-static clothing and footwear. Floors should be electrically conductive. Keep container tightly closed. Exclude sources of heat, sparks and open flame. Use non-sparking tools. Avoid skin and eye contact. Avoid inhalation of vapour and spray mist. Smoking, eating and drinking are forbidden in the work area. For personal protective equipment see Section 8. Always keep in containers made of the same material as the supply container. Never use pressure to empty: the container is not a pressure vessel. Electrical equipment should be protected to appropriate standards. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations may apply to the handling of containers of this product.

STORAGE

Store in accordance with the regulations for flammable materials. Observe the label precautions. Store in a dry, cold and well ventilated place away from sources of heat, ignition and direct sunlight. Store separately from reducing agents (i.e. amins), acids, alkalines og metal compounds. No smoking. Containers which are opened should be properly resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROL/PERSONAL PROTECTION

EXPOSURE CONTROL

Spray mist contains all substances of the product and must not be inhaled. Where reasonably practicable this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general extraction. Provide adequate ventilation.

By other operations than spraying: In well-ventilated areas, air-fed respirators could be replaced by a combination of charcoal filter and particulate filter mask. Air-fed respiratory protective should be worn when this product is sprayed.

EYE PROTECTION

Eye protection designed to protect against liquid splashes should be worn.

HAND PROTECTION

Barrier creams should not be applied once exposure has occurred. Barrier creams may help to protect exposed areas of the skin but are not substitutes for full physical protection. Use nitrile or neoprene gloves.

SKIN PROTECTION

Wear anti-static clothing made of natural fibre or of heat resistant synthetic fibre.
